Hi, I'm Claire Xiong. Founder, investor, researcher, and lawyer living in Silicon Valley.
Building and backing businesses across four markets.
I spent ten years in advertising at Google and TikTok before founding ReelNow Technology, a MediaTech company that helps businesses plan and execute their marketing in overseas markets. I also serve on the investment committee of the Dalian Aerospace Peninsula Venture Capital Fund, where we invest in growth-stage companies approaching Series B. I started on the investing side and moved into operating, so I have worked on both.
I write about how AI is changing business. My work has appeared in Harvard Business Review, and my current research focuses on AI-native services and how to measure the quality of AI-delivered work. I'm also a practicing lawyer, working on cross-border contracts, disputes, and compliance.
I've lived and worked in China, the US, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. Outside of work, I run a small cross-border e-commerce shop and share my work and life on social media.

A teaching case on a Chinese AI company's strategic crossroads: double down on core technology, or diversify into new markets.
More cases coming soon
My roles inform each other. Operating a company makes me a better investor, legal training makes me a more careful operator, and running businesses across four markets with AI in daily use is where my research questions come from. If a project crosses borders or involves AI, I'm interested.
